This course is the most comprehensive of UQ's range of agricultural programs, providing students with more opportunity to develop general or specialised expertise. A four year program it provides students with a sound knowledge of scientific, technological, management, economic, environmental and social principles associated with agriculture. The first two and a half years of study provides students with a solid grounding in the basic principles common to all agricultural industries and a taste of possible areas of elective study. The sixth semester consists of a six month internship in an agricultural production enterprise, agribusiness or research institution. The remainder of the program allows them to pursue their own interests through an individual research project and elective courses.

Students must have completed Queensland Year 12 (or equivalent) with prerequisites of English, chemistry and mathematics B. They must also satisfy the following English language requirements: IELTS Academic: Overall Score of 6.5 and Writing score of 6; TOEFL (CBT): 237 with Essay Rating score of 4.5, TOEFL (PBT): 570 with TWE (Test of written English) score of 5 and TOEFL (IBT): Overall Score of 90 and Writing score of 21.

Students who are not currently studying in Australia must send in the completed application form to The Manager, International Admissions Section, The University of Queensland, Level 2, JD Story Building, Brisbane, Queensland, 4072, Australia along with the following documents: certified copies of all transcripts of results, award certificates, grading systems, and translations (if required); proof of English language proficiency and documents for credit assessment. A non-refundable application fee of $100 has to be enclosed along with the application form.

This College typically provides students with individual study bedrooms containing a single bed, desk, chair and storage space for clothing and other belongings. Some college rooms have attached bathrooms (en-suites), but the more usual arrangement is to share the bathroom with other students. Colleges provide educational amenities such as group study rooms, computer labs, printers and photocopiers and tutorials that are in addition to the standard university classes; and recreational facilities such as common rooms, landscaped gardens, gymnasiums, practice courts and music rooms.
